sandcat: 일본과 싱가폴등지로 라이센스계약 및 제품수출까지 성사시키는 등. 꾸준히 보내주신 성원 덕분에  미약하나마 해외시장까지 드레스덴의 영역을 넓혀가고 있습니다. 근래 거래업체를 돌다보면 중국공장을 소개 시켜주겠다는 분들이 더러 계십니다. 분명 저렴한 공임비에서 오는 수익성의 메리트도 존재합니다만 현재로서는 공정상의 여러이유로 국내생산을 고집하고 있습니다 예를 들어 새들스티치(saddle stitch)방식의 가죽수공방식이 있습니다. 유럽등지에서 전통적으로 마구제품(말안장등)을 두개의 실과 바늘을 서로 교차해 묶어주며 꿰매는 방식입니다.  원체 까다로운 작업이기도 하거니와 수작업 특성상 숙련공 한명의 손에서 처리되는 상품의 개수가 2주에 3개 정도만 완성되는 탓에(가방기준) 국내에서도 몇 안되는 업체(공방)만이 고집하는 가죽수공방식입니다.  이렇게 생산된 가방,다이어리,지갑등의 가죽제품은 견고함은 물론 대량생산에서 느낄수 없는 높은 퀄리티와 깊은 멋을 만들어냅니다.          드레스덴에서도 작년 샘플진행 당시 가죽특성상 그래픽구현도가 완벽하지 못해 아쉽게도 보류되었지만 지난 1년사이 만족 할만한 데이터에 가까워진 터라 조만간 선보일 날이 멀지 않은듯 합니다.  앞으로도 ‘싸다’ ,’비싸다’ 눈으로만 쉽게 판단되는 그렇고 그런제품을 만들기보다 피부로 느껴지는 합당한 값어치의 제품을 만드는 브랜드로 평가 되도록 노력하겠습니다.
